About us

Our little cattery is located in Oulu, the biggest city in northern Finland.  The name Tuiskutassun (tuisku = whirling snowstorm, tassu = paw) was approved by FiFe in December 20th, 2005. At the moment we have four beautiful siberian females called Kida, Nelli, Aamu and Maria (from our A- and B-litters), and two males: Laxforsens Vante and Tuiskutassun Capote. The very first Tuiskutassun litter was born in December 31th, 2006. Fin* Tuiskutassun is Microsporum Canis-negative cattery (11/2007).

We like to take our cats to cat shows, so if you recognize us from the picture below, don´t be afraid to come to chat with us! You can also come to visit us to see our cats, just schedule an appointment with us :)

 Our cats live indoors, as a member of our family. They get a lot of love and caring. Cats go out guarded in a leash or harness, or in a specially built outdoor enclosure in our backyard  (picture gallery). We don´t keep males and females together. Our breeding males live in foster homes.

None of our cats carry colourpoint gene, so we are not expecting any colourpoint coloured kittens in the future.

There are many sources that claim that Siberian cats are anti-allergenic. In our opinion allergies are very individual, any cat can cause allergy and another will not, despite what breed is concerned.
